Yutaka ITABASHI − Editorial Board Member

Yutaka ITABASHI, Professor of Laboratory of Bioanalytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University, was born in 1949 in Akita City, Akita Prefecture. He received a Bachelor degree in 1975, a Master degree in 1977, and a Doctor degree of Fisheries Science in 1980 from Hokkaido University. He served as Research Associate (1981−1991) and Associate Professor (1991−1999) at the Faculty of Fisheries Sciences, Hokkaido University. In 1999, he was promoted to his present position. His current research interests are in the analysis, distribution and functions of enantiomers and regioisomers of biomolecules. He enjoys opera and watching traditional dances, including Japanese Bon Odori, and also drinking Japanese Sake.
