Toru TAKAHASHI, Associate Professor of Department of Applied Chemistry and Biotechnology, University of Fukui. He received a Ph. D in Engineering from Tohoku University in 1999, and subsequently undertook postdoctoral research in Tohoku University, working on HPLC and CE separation methods for metal complexes. He subsequently took up an academic position in the Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Tohoku University (2003). In 2010, he was appointed Associate Professor at University of Fukui. His current research interests are: (i) the development of kinetic analysis methods based on capillary electrophoresis (CE) and related techniques for "complexes" in a broad sense, (ii) the development of the high-efficiency CE separation techniques for natural polymers, and their application characterization of natural polymers.
