Atsuomi KIMURA − Editorial Board Member
Atsuomi KIMURA, Associate Professor of Department of Medical Physics and Engineering,
Graduate School of Medicine, Osaka University, was born in 1968 in Osaka. He received
Bachelor (1991), Master (1993), and Doctor (1996) degrees of Pharmaceutical Sciences from
Osaka University. He served as a research fellow (1996−1998) and Research Associate
(1998−2003), and was promoted to Associate Professor at Osaka University in 2003. His
scientific interest is the development of novel medical applications of magnetic resonance
imaging and spectroscopy (MRI/MRS), and currently focused on the pulmonary functional
imaging by MRI with hyperpolarized noble gases applicable to preclinical evaluations.
