Philippe BÜHLMANN, Associate Professor at the Department of Chemistry, University of
Minnesota, was born in 1964. He obtained an MS degree (1989) from the Department of

been Associate Professor since 2006. Phil's research interets focus on molecular recognition,
perfluoropolymers, and their use in electrochemical sensors. He loves his daily bike commute
throughout the Minnesotan winter just as much as a quiet reading of a manuscript at the
kotatsu, but he is also always eagerly looking forward to his next visit to a Japanese rotenburo.
