Toshiyuki OSAKAI − Editorial Board Member

Toshiyuki OSAKAI, Associate Professor of Analytical Chemistry at the Faculty of Science,
Kobe University, was born in 1956 in Tokyo. He received his Bachelor (1980), Master (1982),
and Doctorate (1985) degrees of Agriculture from Kyoto University. He served as a Research
Associate in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Liberal Arts, Kobe University
(1987-1991). In 1991, he was promoted to full-time Lecturer, and in the next year moved to
the Department of Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Kobe University. In 1994, he was
promoted to his present position. His current research interests include electroanalytical
chemistry at oil/water interfaces and its biological applications. He enjoys "karaoke" together
with his friends, and playing with his two kids.
