Tomoyuki OE − Editorial Board Member
Tomoyuki OE, Professor of Department of Bio-analytical Chemistry, Graduate School of
Pharmaceutical Sciences, Tohoku University, was born in 1962 in Sendai City. He received his
Bachelor (1986), Master (1988), and Doctor (1992) degrees of Pharmaceutical Sciences from
Tohoku University. He served as a Research Associate (1988-1996) at Kanazawa University
and Tohoku University, a Postdoctral Fellow (1995-1998) at Vanderbilt University and
University of Pennsylvania, a Lecturer at University of Shizuoka (1998-2000), a Research
Associate (2000-2004) and a Research Assistant Professor (2004-2007) at University of
Pennsylvania, and then moved to the current position (2007). His research interest is chemical
modifications on peptides/proteins in terms of biomarker discoveries. Except for his scientific
activities, he enjoys playing with his beloved son (Nobutomo, 4 years old), tasting Japanese Sake
with his wife, and reading manga (Japanese comics) alone.
