Jun NAKANISHI − Editorial Board Member
Jun NAKANISHI, Independent Scientist of International Center for Materials Nanoarchitectonics
(MANA), National Institute for Materials Science (NIMS), was born in 1973 in Chiba prefecture.
He received Bachelor (1996), Master (1998), and Doctor (2001) degrees of Science from
The University of Tokyo. He became a Special Postdoctoral Researcher at RIKEN in 2002, a
Research Associate in Waseda University in 2005, and a JST PRESTO Researcher in the same
year. He joined to NIMS in 2006, and became an Independent Scientist in the following year.
His current research interest is the development of new materials for engineering cellular
functions, and their applications for elucidating molecular mechanisms of life phenomena.
