Akitoshi OKINO − Editorial Board Member

Akitoshi OKINO, Associate Professor of Department of Energy Sciences, Tokyo Institute of Technology, was born in 1965 in Kyoto, Japan. He received B.E. (1989) and M.E. (1991) degrees in Applied Physics from Osaka University, and the Dr. Eng. degree in Nuclear Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1994. From 1994, he was Assistant Professor of Dept. of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Tokyo Institute of Technology, and was promoted to his current position in 2001. From 1998 to 1999, he was a Visiting Researcher of Dept. of Chemistry, The George Washington University, and from 2006 to 2007, he was a Visiting Professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering Department, UCLA. His current research interests are applications of thermal and non-thermal atmospheric plasmas for analytical chemistry and medical fields.
